What media and call tools does Luckgram add?

Luckgram adds shortcuts for video messages, capture preferences, downloads, local cache, and (on supported iOS builds) call recording.

Send an existing video as a video message

In development. Luckgram does not include this yet. It is on the roadmap; this section describes the planned behavior.

  1. Open the attachment or media action in a chat.
  2. Choose a compatible video from the device.
  3. Select the video-message or round-video conversion action.
  4. Preview the crop and duration before sending.

Telegram’s current upload and format limits still apply. Conversion can crop the frame to a circle and may re-encode the file.

Start with the rear camera

In development. Luckgram does not include this yet. It is on the roadmap; this section describes the planned behavior.

Supported mobile builds can remember a rear-camera preference for video capture. This changes the starting camera, not the recipient or privacy of the resulting message.

Downloads and cache

Available now. This is a standard Telegram feature and works the same way in Luckgram. Find it in Settings → Data and Storage.

Luckgram can expose extra controls for saving video to the gallery, automatic media handling, and local cache. Clearing cache removes local copies, not Telegram cloud messages. Files downloaded outside the app remain on the device until removed there.

Can I call WhatsApp or FaceTime from Luckgram?

No. Luckgram is a Telegram app: its voice and video calls are Telegram calls, and they reach Telegram users only. It cannot call someone on WhatsApp, FaceTime, or another messenger.

How do I post a story?

Available now. This is a standard Telegram feature and works the same way in Luckgram.

Stories are a Telegram feature: Luckgram shows and posts them as Telegram does and adds nothing of its own to posting. A story is a photo or video your contacts see at the top of their chat list; you choose who can see it.

On iPhone, iPad or Android (Luckgram Desktop shows stories but can’t post them):

  1. Tap My Story at the top of the chat list.
  2. Take a photo or video, or pick one from your gallery. You can add text, stickers and a caption.
  3. Choose who sees it: Everyone, Contacts, Close Friends or Selected Contacts; you can also leave out specific people. Allow Screenshots and Keep on My Page (it stays on your profile after it expires) are on the same screen.
  4. Tap Post Story.

A story lasts 24 hours. Telegram Premium, Telegram’s own subscription, adds 6, 12 and 48 hours, more stories at a time, links and formatting in captions, and Stealth Mode. Luckgram Premium is a separate plan and doesn’t include these (see Plans, Gems, and referrals).

Who may post, and how many stories a week or month, is set by Telegram for every app. When posting is limited to Telegram Premium, the app shows that message. Luckgram adds no limit of its own: if your Telegram account can post stories in the official Telegram app, it can post them in Luckgram for iPhone, iPad and Android, and Luckgram Premium does not unlock posting. A channel or group can post stories once it has enough boosts, through an admin allowed to post them. On iPhone and iPad, you can’t post during a call or a video chat.

Record a call

In development. Luckgram does not include this yet. It is on the roadmap; this section describes the planned behavior.

Call recording is currently documented and source-verified for iOS. Depending on the build, recording can be manual or automatic and the result can be delivered to Saved Messages or another configured chat surface.

Before recording, tell every participant and obtain the consent required in every relevant jurisdiction. Luckgram does not decide whether recording is lawful for your call. Treat the saved audio as sensitive content and check where it was sent.

Availability: video-message conversion on iOS and Android; call recording on iOS in current evidence. Other platforms are not confirmed.
